Unfortunately, my tragic experience started when i decided to have an IVF procedure with Doctor Michael de Brucker. He hided lots of vital information from me and my husband and because he didnt follow with care the pregnancy I lost my child. More concretely, i went for consultations in his private medical center in Halle, in the morning, accusing very severe pain in the back. He said everything was perfect, but later I called the ambulance and the doctors were really shocked as the baby was already in vagina. Afterwards, i informed him about the lost of the child and he didnt even had the decency or humanity to answer my message. I just want to warn other women to stay away from this Doctor as he will literally ruin your health and life. I lost the child because of his indiference and complete lack of minimum consideration and care towards his patients. I have been contacted by other women who are facing the same tragedy as myself but whatever legal procedures we are launching will never compensate for our drama. Mr. Doctor Michael de Brucker, if you read this, how can you sleep at night knowing that because of you some women saw their children death? You are not a Doctor!

I had an ivf consultation with a female Prof. and felt that a conclusion and diagnosis was reached already within 5 mins only by verbal information ı could transfer in that limited time and initial conclusion dominated the whole session. Our test results/documents were not reviewed throughout the session, no physical examination was made. given the complexity of fertility treatments and different approaches different clinics and doctors are following internationally, ı felt the consultation came out too definitive, lack of comparative approach, medical curiosity and individualised perspective. I also felt the manner of conveying information was quite insensitive. I feel ı couldn’t have any nuanced discussion on my input/questions. I found there was not much room to discuss based on previous medical advice from other doctors as well, as the conclusion seemed not to be challenged. Disappointed, wouldn’t go back. Having spoken to different consultants, I haven't encountered a similar lack of empathy in a medical setting. While I respect UZ as a reputable institution, my experience highlights, according to me, how essential it is to find the right doctor for your personal situation and expectations.

I recently had my first visit to the fertility center and was extremely disappointed, especially given the high recommendation we received from our doctor, who spoke of the center as a leading facility in Belgium for fertility treatment. Firstly, I found it quite distressing that the entrance is shared with the pediatric care section. For couples struggling with infertility, this can be an emotionally challenging experience. Secondly, the doctor who attended to us showed a complete lack of empathy. Fertility treatment is a sensitive journey, and a compassionate approach is essential. Additionally, the organization of our visit was severely lacking. We were under the impression that we were scheduled for a brief consultation of about half an hour, but we ended up spending three hours at the center. This lack of clear communication added unnecessary stress to an already difficult process. Moreover, it took me over 15 minutes to schedule an appointment over the phone, which further reflects the inefficiency and disorganization we encountered. Overall, my impression is that the center operates more like a large, impersonal machine with significant organizational issues. Whether this leads to positive results remains to be seen. I will also be sending written feedback to the client service department to address these concerns.

I started my treatment at Brussels IVF in December 2023. Starting from first consultation to embryo transfer. I have had a pleasant experience with every doctor and midwife. The best part about this centre is that , they are very organised and they explained everything well and clearly to me throughout my treatment. The treatment they offer is really top notch. I moved to Brussels from Melbourne, Australia for work. From my personal experience I feel that the medical system here especially for reproductive health is far better than in Australia. After each blood work and ultrasound a midwife called the same day to discuss the results, they were the best at answering my questions and was very patient with me. As with anyone who goes through this treatment, there were failed cycles and painful procedures for me. But the staff was always very positive and reassuring. The environment in the clinic is really pleasant too. I have read some comments were some patients say that their experience was not the best. As a patient we should approach them and ask questions keeping our emotions aside. Sometimes it is also required to work with your own gynaecologist for additional blood tests. I truly hope that everyone who goes for the treatment will have success. Sending baby dust to all of you !!! Thank You to everyone at Brussels IVF for making our dream of becoming parents come true.

They add stress to an already stressful procedure. The departments don't communicate between eachother for test results and the people who answer the phone are rude and unhelpful. I would consider looking somewhere else before picking this center. The psychological approach is non-existent.

Nothing but excellent care at the IVF centre so far. All staff are friendly and caring, empathetic at every stage.

Hi, I still waiting for a response since last Wednesday, so I can plan my flight to Brussels no luck so far. Hopefully today

Je ne comprends pas les avis négatifs. Durant 2 années, j'ai été prise en charge avec beaucoup d'empathie et de bienveillance. L'information a été complète avant, pendant et après la prise en charge. Suivi très professionnel dans une structure moderne avec du matériel de pointe. Monitoring très bienveillant et les infirmières ont été supers. Vraiment, je suis très reconnaissante pour chaque étape de la prise en charge, même si ça a été difficile et pas forcément couronné de succès.
